Due to application of high-strength low-alloy steel, which production was mastered by metallurgists as far back as 60s, and  a harmonious combination of various durability metals, the "river - sea" type ships have the minimum weight, which is on one third less than the weight of the ship with regular still steel hull.

The ”river-sea” type ships belonging to the shipping company are designed with intelligent combination of various materials and are of shallow draft, which allows to transport standard size cargoes from the sea ports to the river ports of the Amur river not transferring them to the river transport.

River transportations

During navigation period, from May to November, by the navigable rivers of the Amur river basin, Amur Shipping Company JSC carries out river cargo transportations between ports and river locations of Khabarovsk Krai, all Russian Far East and China.

The river fleet of Amur Shipping Company JSC, transporting cargoes by such rivers as the Amur, the Zeya, the Selemdzha, the Songhua, the Ussuri, the Amgun, is presented by the transport ships which are capable to transport various types of cargoes.  The fleet includes the hold dry-cargo vessels with a loading capacity of 350 to 600 tons, equipped with the ship cranes allowing to carry out stevedoring activities on "unequipped" coast line; the tanker fleet accepting on board from 300 to 600 tons of oil products of any class. Due to the shallow draft of these vessels, Amur Shipping Company delivers cargoes to the settlements located on the small rivers and almost inaccessible for other types of transport.

The significant role in transportations of cargoes in the Amur River basin is played by the towing fleet of the shipping company; the barge-tug train is capable to transport from 2,5 thousand tons to 12 thousand tons of such freights such as timber, coal, mineral and construction materials. The towing fleet of Amur Shipping Company is effectively used for transportations of export-import cargoes between the river ports of Russia and China and also for transportations of oil products from the ports of Khabarovsk, Amursk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur to the northern areas of Khabarovsk Krai.

By the Amur river, the river fleet carries out:

  • transportation of oversize and heavy cargoes;
  • transportation of loose and bulk cargoes;
  • towage of non-self-propelled floating facilities.

Also, the river vessels are involved in transportation of the timber from the Russian river ports to the river ports of China.

Besides that, a part of river transportation by the Amur river is done within the state program of delivery of cargoes to the Northern areas of Khabarovsk Krai.

The river fleet of the company is presented by the transport vessels which are capable to transport various types of cargoes, including hazardous. The total number of the river vessels is more than 100 units including:

general loading capacity
of the river fleet is more than

> 100000 tons

That is not including the fleet of JSC «Trade port Blagoveshchensk».

Due to the shallow draft of these vessels, Amur Shipping Company carries out river transportation of cargoes to the settlements located on the minor rivers and almost inaccessible for other means of transport.

Towage of floating facilities

Towage of vessels and other floating facilities is a type of activity which is carried out by legal entities and self-employed individuals with use of specialized tow-ships, ice breakers, cargo vessels, push-tugs according the accepted towage technology, for the purpose of escorting or delivering the non-self-propelled vessels or those dead in the water, and other floating crafts, from the port to the port, and also to do shunting operations in ports and on access to them.

Tugs are the type of vessel which inevitably accompany floating crafts in the ports. Small and fast, they surpass in the number all other types of auxiliary vessels. During the work in the port with the vessels having their way on, tows actually become one-of-a-kind self-propelled wheels.

Amur Shipping Company has vast experience and regularly provides towing services for non-self-propelled floating facilities along river and sea routes.

Supply of nonmetallic construction materials

Sand is the most requested material in the sphere of construction which in itself never reduces turns and only extends. Even for constant creation of cardinally new, fundamentally different ways of construction of buildings, other materials and ways in construction, sand is always the most requested material. By the way both in construction business, and in an economic part.

Extraction of sand

and sand-and-gravel mix

1,5 millions
tons per year

But the sand extraction itself in really industrial volumes is quite uneasy business.

The enterprises of Amur Shipping Company group of companies have their own extracting fleet and warehouses and also own licenses for development of more than 1,5 million tons per year of channel fields of sand and the sand-gravel mix.

Also, we carry out delivery of nonmetallic and construction materials by water transport to the customer's warehouse.
