Due to application of high-strength low-alloy steel, which production was mastered by metallurgists as far back as 60s, and a harmonious combination of various durability metals, the "river - sea" type ships have the minimum weight, which is on one third less than the weight of the ship with regular still steel hull.
The ”river-sea” type ships belonging to the shipping company are designed with intelligent combination of various materials and are of shallow draft, which allows to transport standard size cargoes from the sea ports to the river ports of the Amur river not transferring them to the river transport.

A significant role in cargo transportation in the Amur basin is played by the tugboat fleet of the shipping company, the barge-towing structure is capable of transporting from 2 thousand tons to 5 thousand tons of such goods as timber, coal, mineral construction materials and others.
